One year after the vinyl edition of their 2022 second album 'quite small happiness' sold out, Pervenche's first album 'subtle song'—which quietly emerged in 2001—will finally be released on vinyl. Formed around Clover Records organizer Masato Saito, the band began as Peatmos. After member changes in 1998, they changed their name to Pervenche. This album represents the first destination they reached after creating numerous demos. Crystallized after long experimentation, it breathes with each member's strong individuality and deep love for "the songs themselves." A continuous, serene, and soft atmosphere, stretching from The Velvet Underground to The Field Mice. Melodies that are simple yet unique, scooping up the very texture of life. An intimate and naive sound, connecting to bands like Marine Girls and Ida, slowly spread out into the world. Now that their 2022 second album 'quite small happiness' has garnered high praise overseas, dropping the needle back onto this first album makes the subtle heat of the folk rock and post-punk that dwelled within twenty years ago feel even more vivid. This LP uses remastered audio newly applied by Saito from the original 2-mixes. The soundscape has gained even greater transparency and a delicacy that shakes the very air of the room. A small flame burning within the stillness. A raw gem of folk rock, polished by time, where experimentation and tenderness coexist. 'subtle song', recording the story of Pervenche's beginnings. Through a collaboration between Clover Records and KiliKiliVilla, its first release in LP format has been decided. We hope you welcome it as a record that will accompany the scenery of your life.
