This is a collection of arrangements of Earl Wild's works by contemporary virtuoso pianist Vittorio Forte. This album is a collection of his arrangements performed and recorded by Vittorio Forte. Wild himself lived until 2010 at the age of 95, and at the age of 88, he recorded a CD for which he received a Grammy Award. Now, when we listen to his arrangements again with excellent recordings by young pianists, we can see the outstanding side of Earl Wild as an arranger and composer (Wild studied composition under Egon Petry, by the way). The last piece on the program is Vittorio Forte's own improvisation on a theme by C.P.E. Bach. This is a disc that can be listened to seriously or as good mood music or background music.
