Amandine Beyer, a baroque violinist representing the new generation of French classical music, is scheduled to visit Japan in November 2014 with the Ensemble Re-Inconcertie. The program on this disc, which will be her first appearance on Harmoniumundi in a while, is a most delightful combination of F. Couperin's "In praise of Lully" and "In praise of Corelli". The CD program opens with "Magnificent. The CD program opens with "Magnificent," a very charming rendition of a work that Beyer himself describes as "a sparkling whirlwind of slightly quirky, colorful, and dissonant harmonies that immediately catch the ear.In the "Correlli", Correlli is led to Mount Parnassus, where the god of music resides, and in the "Lully", Lully follows Correlli to Mount Parnassus, where he meets Correlli and performs with him. Lully follows Corelli to Mount Parnassus, where he meets Corelli and performs with him. In France, there was a tradition of creating portrait-like music in the genre of "Tombou," but Couperin's "Lully's Praise" and "Corelli's Praise" do not strictly follow the style of their respective composers, and their scale and other characteristics make them stand out as special works in the history of music.
