This time, the ensemble will perform a collection of works centering on "Behold the Great Priest" by Francisco Guerrero, one of the great masters of the Spanish Renaissance. Francisco Guerrero, a member of the Andalusian Music School who studied under Morales and others and achieved success at a young age, is one of the most important composers, along with Victoria, in the history of the golden age of Spanish polyphony.This album features the Mass "Behold the Great Priest" as well as various other Magnificats and motets.
