This album features recordings from numerous live performances in the Philippines organized by Rick Countryman, a veteran American saxophonist who spent time with Sonny Simmons in his youth and currently resides in the Philippines, who invited living legend drummer Yoshizaburo Toyozumi to perform there. This album features performances by the regular trio of Yoshizaburo Toyozumi, Rick Countryman, and Simon Tan. Countryman and Tan have been performing together since 2011. The trio, with the addition of veteran Yoshizaburo Toyozumi, has been active from 2017 to the present. (C)RS
