Hiromi Uehara, a world-renowned pianist who won the "Best Music Award" at the 47th Japan Academy Prize for the animated film "BLUE GIANT," for which she served as music director, has formed a band with up-and-coming musicians Adrian Fellow (b), Jean Coy (ds) and Adam O'Farrill (tp), This is the second album of Sonicwonder. Since May 2023, the band has been touring around the world and has received enthusiastic reactions in various places with their dynamic, electric-tinged performances. This second album, their first in a year and a half since their last album "Sonicwonderland," opens with Sonicwonder's version of "XYZ," the song that opened Hiromi Uehara's shocking debut album "Another Mind" in 2003, and is followed by a diverse lineup of new songs.Ramen!", a song about his longtime love of ramen, "Yes! Ramen!", a song about a longtime love of ramen noodles; the four-song suite "OUT THERE"; the POP song "Balloon Pop"; and two versions of "Pendulum", one featuring singer/songwriter Michelle Willis on vocals and the other a solo piano performance. The flexible, bouncy sound proves that the band's chemistry has reached new heights after touring the world.
