Description:

Sufian Stevens from Portugal! Three works by Bruno Pernadas, guitarist/keyboardist/composer who has passed through jazz, hip-hop, folk, and indie rock, all in one treatment. One of which was released simultaneously in 2016, THOSE WHO THROW OBJECTS AT THE CROCODILES WILL BE ASKED TO RETRIEVE THEM. Compared to "WORST SUMMER EVER" released at the same time, this album shows more influences from indie rock, hip-hop, afrobeat, and so-called mondo music. It also has a nostalgic aspect, such as the use of record tracing noises for the sound effects. Written, arranged and produced by Bruno Pernadas Words by Bruno Pernadas and Rita Westwood Recorded at 15A Studios between March and April 2016, by Tiago de Sousa Additional home recordings by Bruno Pernadas Mixed and Mastered by Tiago de Sousa Artwork by Rita Westwood Bruno Pernadas: guitars, keyboards, piano, bass, synthesizers and vocals Afonso Cabral and Francisca Cortesão: vocals Margarida Campelo: piano, keyboards and vocals João Correia: drums and percussion Nuno Lucas: bass Diana Mortágua: flute Diogo Duque: trumpet, flugelhorn and flute João Capinha: alto and tenor sax Raimundo Semedo: baritone and tenor sax Bruno Pernadas BRUNO PERNADAS Born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1982, Bruno Pernadas began playing classical guitar at the age of 13 and studied with composer Vasco Mendonça at the "Hot Club de Portugal" jazz school in Lisbon from 2003 to 2007.
