(Missa Sopra Ecco Beato Giorno)! Striggio's "Mass in 40 or 60 Voices" was discovered in Paris, France, after being lost for about 400 years since its composition. The "Agnus Dei" was composed not only for "40 voices" but also for "60 voices," making it one of the largest choral artworks in the history of the Renaissance, which was born in Italy. Using Dominique Vis's revised score, Hervé Nicquet has arranged 60 singers and instrumentalists in a circle around the conductor and microphones. The recording environment is designed for multi-channel surround sound playback, bringing all of Striggio's magnificent and magnificent music for 40 and 60 voices to life in the modern age.
