Martin, Shostakovich, Bakikhanov. Piano Trio Collection of the 20th Century Trio Aerial is a piano trio founded in 2020 at the Zurich University of the Arts. The name was taken from the Toni Aerial Museum. Jamila Galayushvili (violin) was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, and received her diploma in 2023 in the class of Ilaria Gringolz. She has achieved excellent results in numerous competitions. He has performed with Vengerov and other prestigious conductors. Sandro Metsaros (cello) was born in Switzerland in 2000 and has been a member of the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra since 2024. The piano trio is a real pleasure to listen to, with the three players exchanging sounds in a lively and lively manner, and the performance is as good as one would expect. This is an excellent disc of modern piano trios, including Martin, who still retains the influence of late Romanticism, Shostakovich, who draws from the Russian mourning tradition, and Azerbaijani composer Tofik Bakikhanov (b.1930), who is rich in ethnic coloring.
