Italy's talented choral group Coro Maggini! Founded in 1995, Coro Maggini's repertoire ranges from Bach to Britten, and includes works by the great composers and virtuoso pianists of the 19th century, including Franz Liszt's "Way to the Cross, Ottervio D'Antone, Helmut Rilling, Christopher Hogwood, Robert King, Alessandro de Marchi, and other masters of choral and ancient music, as well as Kirill Petrenko, Gianandrea Noseda, Christian Järvi, The Italian professional choir has a long history of collaboration with world-class conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, Giandrea Noseda, Christian Järvi, Raphael Flübeck de Burgos, and Jeffrey Tate. The choir will be conducted by Claudio Chiavazza, who studied choral conducting with Péter Erdey of the Kodály Institute in Hungary. The program structure also shows great care, including the choice of a version of "The Way to the Cross" with soloists, chorus, and piano, and the inclusion of a world premiere recording of the fragment "A Page from the Music Book Named after Bach (BACH).
