Recorded in the presence of the composer! Durangle's SACD hybrid recording of Philippe Leroux's works for soprano saxophone and piano. This latest recording by saxophonist Claude Delangle and pianist Odile Delangle was made in the presence of contemporary composer Philippe Leroux, who was born in 1959. Durangle has known Leroux for 30 years. The music that emerged from their mutual inspiration is condensed in this album. Leroux, a member of the second generation of the Spectral Music School, has a style of music that is truly his own. This is reflected in their playing style, which is to effectively use the half pedal on the piano and to emphasize the resonance of space, and in the face of the 2020 Corona Disaster, they have completed an album that expresses their desire to "speak of friendship through music and to unite people even in difficult times".
