Marcel Singor, a singer-songwriter and guitarist best known for his time with the Dutch symphonic rock band KAYAK—which disbanded in 2022—and who has recently been active in works related to the multinational symphonic rock project THESAMURAIOFPROG, is set to release his third solo album, *ANEMOIA*, on the Dutch label Oob in 2026! With the exception of a few tracks featuring guest musicians, the album was largely completed through Marcel’s own multi-track recordings. It showcases an eclectic and catchy sound that directly reflects his musical career, which has spanned genres ranging from glam rock to alternative, pop, metal, and prog. This is a superb album that fully showcases Marcel’s guitar playing—ranging from metal-style fast riffs to romantic phrasing reminiscent of KAYAK—as well as his exceptional songwriting skills!
