Up-and-coming ensemble records Italian Baroque works in three different castles! This is the second album by the Verita Baroque Ensemble, an up-and-coming ensemble founded during the Covid-19 pandemic by flutist Taya Koenig-Tarasevich and cellist Bartolomeo D'Andoro Mancese, Following their previous album, "German Album" (EPRC0052), which included commissioned works by J.S. Bach, Telemann, and Stefan Johannes Hanke, the ensemble recorded in a German Baroque castle with historical instruments, each piece in a different German Baroque style. Featuring repertoire by Corelli, Vivaldi, Albinoni, and Galuppi, the album concludes with a neo-baroque work specially commissioned by New York-based composer Nicola Canzano, born in 1991. The rich and realistic sound of each of the three castles is captured in full, taking the listener on an enchanting journey through time. Tokyo M-Plus
