Lilly is a Danish female jazz vocalist. Lilly (full name Lilly-Ann Hertzman), a Danish female jazz singer, is a popular guitarist from Israel who is currently active in New York City, This is a collection of American songbooks featuring Gilad Hekselman, a popular Israeli guitarist currently performing in New York, and Kirk Knoufk, an American horn player. The recording of this album was a natural progression for the singer, who has been listening to jazz and singing standards since she was a child. American songs are truly a part of her DNA. She has already released a duet album with Gilad Hekselman on her previous album "Tenderly" (2017). She says, "It was very natural that I felt the urge to record a further development of the euphoria I got from the last album." Kirk Knoufk joined on cornet on seven songs on this album, adding color to the duets album that was demonstrated on the previous album.Gilad's acoustic guitar is well matched with her crystal clear vocals, creating a gorgeous and warm work of art. Gilad is a wonderful person and one of the best musicians I have ever played with. He makes everything so simple for me. He's very open-minded, but his feet are on the ground." He says. Recorded August 2019 in Brooklyn, NY. Especially for fans of jazz vocals and acoustic guitar. Note the low note count and pure recording!
