This is the 40th anniversary edition of his masterpiece album "Around the World in a Day" released in 1985 under the name of Prince & the Revolution. This 2-CD deluxe edition includes the latest remastered versions of the original album as well as a bonus disc of remixes and extended versions. Probably the smartest thing I ever did was to record AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY right after I finished PURPLE RAIN" - Prince, September 1985 Prince is one of the most important and influential artists in history. He has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, won an Academy Award in 1985, and has received a total of seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award in 2006, and countless other music awards. Prince is one of the greatest icons and treasures of all time, and has been named number 27 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He rose to new heights with the worldwide success of "1999" (released in 1982) and "Purple Rain" (released in 1984), but he was not satisfied with his position and released his masterpiece "Around the World in a Day" in 1985, in which he demonstrated his overwhelming genius without regret. The album is now available to the world in a newly remastered version to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its release! The new release will include a CD containing the latest remastered version of the original album, a blue marble colored analog vinyl version, and a 12" version of "America," which is over 21 minutes long and was recently released, in addition to the latest remastered version of the original album, The newest remastered version of the original album, as well as a 2CD deluxe edition and a 3-CD analog deluxe edition featuring various remixes and extended mixes, including the recently released 21+ minute 12" version of "America. For this release, the original album was remastered by Bernie Grundman. At the same time, the Dolby Atmos version, meticulously remixed from the original multi-track master by Grammy Award-winning engineer Chris James, a protégé of Prince's, will also be digitally distributed at the same time as this release. The deluxe edition 2-CD and 3-analogue discs will include the remix of "Paisley Park," which was released just in time for the release of this album, as well as extended versions of "Girl" and "Hello (Fresh Dance Mix)," and the recently digitally distributed version of "America," which will be available on approximately 22 CDs and 3 vinyl sets. The bonus disc includes a remix of "Paisley Park", extended versions of "Girl" and "Hello (Fresh Dance Mix)", and a 22-minute 12-inch version of "America", which was recently released digitally.
