John Coltrane, the great jazz saxophonist and composer, passed away in July 1967 at the age of only 40. Coltrane left behind a great deal of wonderful music during his lifetime, especially on the "IMPULSE! This album, the fifth in the Original Impulse Albums series, contains five posthumous albums based on different concepts: "Transition," "Live In Seattle," "Sun Ship," "Infinity," and "Concert In Japan. This 5-CD set contains 5 titles released under different concepts after his death.
