180g weight LP released!Trio with Japanese pianist Ayumi Tanaka and clarinetist/singer/percussionist Marte Lee, who participated in drummer Thomas Streinen's project Time is A Blind Guide's album "Lucas" in 2018. This is a work of art. The music is fresh, open, sensitive and space conscious. The group first formed at the Royal Academy of Music in Oslo, where they met weekly for two years to make music. According to Strenen, "We always played freely. We went back and forth between contemporary classical music, folk music, jazz, and whatever else inspired us. Sometimes we would play very quiet, minimalist music. This spirit of spontaneous music is reflected in the trio's debut recording, produced at the Radio Studio in Lugano and produced by Manfred Eicher".With the exception of the title track, which is based on a traditional Norwegian tune, the music of the film is by the three, collectively created in the moment.
