Newcomer Woo Lou, who is carving out a new alternative scene with his one-of-a-kind style, releases his latest EP in 2024! South London based vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/producer Woo Lou. His singles to date, including one featuring Black Midi drummer Morgan Simpson, have all received critical acclaim and have been praised by major media outlets such as Fader, Mojo, Crack, and Quietus. He has been closely interacting with the burgeoning UK band scene, and is creating a new alternative rock trend in the UK with his unique style, and has released his latest EP on 12", his first since his debut album "LOGGERHEAD" in 2022. About this album, Wu-Lu says the following. 'We've all lived our lives before and after our loved ones. Life always throws us into the water, but we always know that not being able to swim is a myth." And.For Learning To Swim On Empty, the vocalist and musician dives deeper than ever before, creating some of his most heartfelt and intimate songs to date, expanding his sound in the process. The EP is a series of diary entries inspired by growing up in Brixton, death and grief, rebirth, and that sink-or-swim feeling you get when you're thrown into the deep end. the EP ends with a performance by poet Rohan Ayinde and award-winning writer and former London youth laureate Caleb Femi It will conclude with a spoken word performance.
