Schley, whose album "First Appearance" was released in 2019 on the UK label Last Resort to critical acclaim with support from Andrew Weatherall, Hunny and others.The 3rd album released in 2021 is now available on CD in Japan with previously unreleased bonus tracks! The album features a variety of tracks such as "IN SELECT EVERLIGHT", "TWO CLOUDS EACH", and "DIVERTED BY FAINT PATHWAY", which has a dubby approach with too much sense, and the transparent guitar work is similar to Durutti Column and late Talk Talk. The smooth groove of the fretless bass, reminiscent of Pat Metheny Group's bassist Mark Egan, and the transparent ambience and mellowness that rival the great albums of ECM Records run through the entire album.The beautiful sound world that blends various musical elements such as jazz, new age, ambient, minimal music, dub, post-rock, etc. without any sense of discomfort is a must for all music fans of rare groove, balearic, city pop, and the new age/ambient revival that is seeking its future.
