Jordanian-born Said and Venezuelan-born Indoyan! Jordanian pianist Karim Said, whose talent was discovered by Daniel Barenboim, has recorded his first concerto. Said was born in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and moved to England at the age of 11, graduating from the Purcell School and the Royal Academy of Music. The success of a concert he gave at the Weimar Verdevere Music School in 2000 at the invitation of his former teacher Barenboim led to the documentary film "Karim's Journey" by Christopher Nouwen, which was broadcast by the BBC and brought him international fame. In addition to being a soloist with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, founded by Said's uncle Edward Said and Barenboim, he made his BBC Proms debut in 2009, and has since participated in the inaugural performance of the Pierre Boulez Saal. She continues her special relationship with Barenboim. In recent years, he has also established an orchestra in his hometown of Amman and has been active as a conductor, making a significant contribution to the remarkable development of classical music culture in the Middle East. This album features two piano sonatas by Beethoven and his most important repertoire, the Piano Concerto No. 3 with Domingo Indoyan & the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.Indojan is an old acquaintance who worked with Said when he was a violinist with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, and the happy reunion of the two musicians on this recording shows their outstanding chemistry, creating a wonderful harmony.
