This is the NAXOS debut album by Swedish-born guitarist and composer Johannes Möller, born in 1981. He gave his first public concert at the age of 13 and has since given over 500 concerts in Europe, Asia, North and South America, and in 2010 alone, he gave 50 concerts in various countries (including Carnegie Hall). In this album, he performs guitar standards by Barrios and Villa-Lobos, contemporary pieces, and finally his own composition, "Poem to a Distant Flame. The album is a true showcase of his talent. All of the pieces are excellent, but the romantic pieces in particular are superbly expressed. The soft tones and delicate expression of emotion are conveyed from the barrios at the beginning of the piece. Naxos Japan
