Alongside My Bloody Valentine and others, they spearheaded the shoegaze movement of the early ’90s. Their sound is characterized by a fusion of thunderous guitar feedback with the beautiful melodies and refreshing vocal harmonies of Mark Gardner and Andy Bell. Although they disbanded once in 1996, they reunited in 2014 and remain active to this day. *OX4_TheBestofRide*: A best-of album that traces Ride’s journey from their early noisy guitar sound to their later work, centered on classic tracks representative of the UK shoegaze scene. It covers everything from the shoegaze masterpiece *Vapor Trail* to their mid-period tracks, which leaned more toward psychedelic rock.
