Tetsu Nagasawa is a drummer and improvisational musician born in Fukushima City in 1970 and currently based in Tokyo. He lived in Nagasaki City for 10 years starting in 2015, but returned to Tokyo in 2025, where he continues his musical career. Using a drum set with numerous toms, he frequently employs sustained tom rolls to create a highly distinctive, harmonic, and ambient atmosphere through his drumming. He frequently collaborates not only with other musicians but also with dancers. This album features an approximately 60-minute improvised drum solo performance by Nagasawa, recorded on May 7, 2025, at the Former Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Nagasaki Branch Memorial Hall in Nagasaki City. The Former Bank of Hong Kong and Shanghai Nagasaki Branch Memorial Hall is a venue steeped in memories for him, as he performed there more than 40 times during the 10 years he spent in Nagasaki; this performance can be considered the culmination of those 10 years in Nagasaki.
