This is the second collection of Debussy's works composed and arranged for four-handed piano and two pianos by the Genova & Dimitrov Piano Duo, who won the ARD Munich International Music Competition and other competitions only two years after their formation in 1995. Sacred and Secular Dances" was originally composed for harp and string orchestra and later arranged for two pianos. The contrast between the old-fashioned and solemn "Sacred Dances" and the waltz-musette style "Secular Dances" is vivid. The "Symphony in B minor" is an original for four hands, dedicated by the young Debussy to Madame Meck. It is a melancholy work in the Slavic style. The "In Black and White," composed during World War I and containing a lament for a friend killed in action and a dedication to Stravinsky, and "The Sea," an arrangement of "The Sea" for four hands, overturning the view at the time that it was impossible to play such a stormy piece on the piano, are also included.
