A duo album by Ahmad Mukhtar, a master of the oud, an instrument of Arabic culture, and Ignacio Lusardi Monteverde, a flamenco guitar player and producer. Inspired by the historical connection between Islamic culture and Andalusia, symbolized by the "Alhambra Palace" of the album title, the work reflects the spirit of "coexistence (convivencia)" through the dialogue between the two instruments. The performance by oud and flamenco guitar, which share a common ancestry and technical similarities, creates a synergy between different traditions through the sharing of scales and rhythmic patterns, creating a new expression as contemporary music.
