Description:
Nikita Mundoyants, born in 1989, is a promising young pianist whose father is the virtuoso Alexander Mundoyants. She studied under Nikolai Petrov at the Moscow Conservatory, and her talent is already recognized as she won the first prize at the 2016 "Cleveland International Piano Competition". He is also a talented composer and has been a professor of orchestral music at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory since 2013, as well as a winner of the 2016 Prokofiev International Composition Competition, where he won the prize for excellence. On this album, he performs a collection of small works by Beethoven, Schumann, and Prokofiev. The compositional ability of the musicians is superb, as they carefully play the different personalities of each piece and make the listener listen to them all at once. Naxos Japan
