You will hear his words (music) as he begins to speak... -Tadashi Suenaga, pianist ＜Shun Yoshioka Born in 1999, Yoshioka was diagnosed with autism with intellectual disability at the age of 3. He began playing the piano at the age of 5, studying with Yumiko Hamada, Kimiko Tanigami, and Tadashi Suenaga, and chamber music with Youunko Sawaguchi. She has won prizes in various competitions, including the International Junior Piano Competition and the Sound Dream Piano Competition, and began performing in various places in 2014.In August 2016, she performed with a local junior high school brass band at EN-RAY Hall in Nayoro, Hokkaido, and in June 2018 with a citizen's brass band in Masuda, Shimane, Japan, performing "Brass Band and Concertino for Piano" and in a recital in January 2017, he enthusiastically performed "Rhapsody in Blue" to great acclaim.Currently, he is engaged in a welfare workshop run by a social welfare corporation, and performs solo recitals throughout Japan as well as with various performers and orchestras.
