The best known performances of Jansons' "Sibelius No. 2" are the 1992 performance with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the 2005 performance with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Both of these performances are, of course, fascinating for the vivid expression and combustion power that is typical of Jansons, and the differences in the sound produced by the different orchestras are also very interesting to listen to. The "Sibe 2" by Jansons, this time with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, was performed in Munich in the fall of 2015 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sibelius (1865-1957), and the strong relationship of trust between Jansons and the orchestra can be seen in the enthusiastic performances. The concert was an enthusiastic performance that showed the strong relationship of trust between Jansons and the orchestra.
