AAS, led by alto saxophonist Hideki Tachibana, who can be called the backbone of Shibusashirazu, celebrates its 20th anniversary with its 4th album! The late saxophonist Hiroaki Katayama's "Before the Liquor Store Closes," one of Katayama's most famous songs from his "Dust Off" album, was actually composed by Tachibana, and the title of the song became the title of Altam. The album also includes songs dedicated to Hiroaki Katayama, such as "I'll Wait for You at the Izakaya in Heaven," composed around the time of Katayama's death, as well as a song that won four awards at the Yokohama Jazz Promenade 7th Competition in 2000, the most of any competition at the time. The interplay that runs so freaky that it breaks through the music is irresistible. (C)RS
