The Greek Theatre in Tarmina, Sicily's most famous landmark, was praised by Goethe as "the most beautiful view in the world" when he visited here. In the summer of 2008, Mazère's Beethoven Ticles was performed here in one fell swoop and became the talk of the town. The only complete Beethoven cycle the maestro has ever recorded was with the Cleveland Orchestra on a Sony disc from the 1970s. The ensemble was tightened intensely, and the energetic Beethoven was like a Toscanini-style mass of power rising. The tempo is very fast, the counter-melody is consciously emphasized, and so on. He is a genius who is not a one-trick pony. The confidence and certainty of a master like Beethoven shows the difference between him and the other masters. The recording is a perfect multi-microphone recording, which is a European favorite even though it is an open-air performance, and every detail is so clear that it is as if they are playing in front of you. The Toscanini Symphony Orchestra is the partner. The name Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra was also used for the concert in Japan. The Toscanini Symphony Orchestra is a young orchestra founded in 2002 in Parma.The ensemble has grown to become one of the leading ensembles in Europe, and in 2005 and 2007, it toured Japan.
