The second release from Chris Kane, a true musician's musician who has been highly acclaimed by many top guitarists, and who has moved to Alligator! 12 songs. Produced by Kid Andersen with guest appearances by labelmate Tommy Castro. Living Blues magazine called it "the height of his career" and it is without a doubt his best work to date! Chris Kane was born in San Jose, California in 1955. At an early age, his father, a black blues collector, introduced him to the blues, and he picked up the guitar at the age of 8. He studied music at San Jose University, where he even taught jazz improvisation on campus. Since then, he has also mastered piano, bass, and tenor saxophone. In 1987, he made his debut with "Late Night City Blues" on Blue Rock It. The album was nominated for a WC Handy Award (now known as the Blues Music Award) and garnered instant attention. His guitar playing and vocals were praised by BB King and Albert King, and he was also highly acclaimed by Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, and other musicians active on the West Coast.He has consistently released 15 albums, including "Cuttin' Loose" (1990) and "So Many Miles" (2010) on labels such as Blind Pig, and his latest album, "Raisin' Cain," released in 2020 on Alligator, was nominated for four Blues Music Awards. He has been nominated for four Blues Music Awards.
