The latest release from Blues Traveler, a jam band led by the immensely popular American super harpist John Popper, is a soul cover album, a sequel to "Traveler's Blues," which was also nominated for a Grammy in 2022! The wide variety of song selections, including Al Green, Anne Peoples, Dr. John, The Meaters, TLC, and more, make for a great listening experience. The album features a variety of guests including Liv Warfield, Wendy Morton, Valerie June, Sarah Niemietz, Ryan Shaw, Clyde Lawrence, and other female singers! Blues Traveler is a jam band formed in Princeton, NJ in 1987. The band consists of John Popper on harmonica and vocals, high school classmate Brendan Hill on drums, Bobby Sheehan on bass, and Chan Kinkler on guitar. After graduating from high school, they moved to New York and started performing live. In 1990, they signed a contract with A&M Records and made their debut with "Blues Traveler".With their excellent harmonica technique and powerful vocals, they gradually gained popularity and performed at various festivals including Lollapalooza. They released albums consistently, and their fourth album, "four," in 1994, was their big breakthrough. The single "Run-Around" was also a big hit and won a Grammy. His 14th album, "Traveler's Blues" (2021), earned him a Grammy nomination, and he has released several albums and appeared in various films and media, including "The Blues Brothers 2000. John Popper has also made guest appearances on various artists' albums as a solo artist.
