The debut album by Lei Gouliarik, a Hawaiian AOR masterpiece and extremely rare album called "The Miracle of Maui," is reissued in paper jacket and with two bonus tracks. The singer/songwriter from Indiana, U.S.A., was attracted by the splendor of Maui and created this masterpiece with a Hawaiian flavor. The singer-songwriter from Indiana, U.S.A., is a masterful multi-instrumentalist who plays most of the instruments (guitar, bass, piano, drums, percussion, and synthesizer) as well as vocals on her own. The song "Maui on My Mind" won a songwriting contest sponsored by a Honolulu radio station and was included on the compilation album "Home Grown 2," which led to his album debut. The high-tone voice, sweet and moderately soulful with a boyish quality, is reminiscent of Ned Doheny's.The album includes the West Coast-style AOR "Goodbye Aloha," the sensitively American-inspired acoustic pop tune "Dream Lady," the Eagles-inspired "Love Is All," the groovy rhythm pattern featuring 12-string guitar on the exhilarating "Take Good Care," the lightly British-inspired "Hold Her Own," and the bossa nova rhythm of "All Alone," featuring a moody saxophone. Take Good Care", "Hold Her Own" with a faintly British flavor, "All Alone" with a pleasant bossa nova rhythm featuring a moody saxophone, and the title track, which can be called the culmination of the Guliac sound.
