Composed of boys and girls from the "Eighty-Six" who were eliminated from the Republic of San Magnolia, they are engaged in a harsh battle against the "Legion," an unmanned weapon deployed by the Gearde Empire. The Spearhead squadron, whose numbers were being reduced one by one, was assigned a "special reconnaissance mission" with a 0% success rate and an unlimited mission duration.
