The debut album from Udad, the new project from Norwegian black metal mastermind Thomas Eriksen of Mork, is now available. The antithesis of Mork's pursuit of absolute and unrelenting darkness with a completely stripped down and cold approach, Udad is the new effort from Norwegian black metal master Thomas Eriksen of Mork. After looking back to Mork's first album, Isebakke, as the framework for a new vessel for his main band's further evolution into complex and elaborately textured moods and atmospheres and the grimness of pure black metal, Eriksen delves deeper into this influence and presents Mork today and created something completely "necro" in motive and execution, like the antithesis to the Here, the brutal reality of death and the lack of meaning in life is explored in an unflinching manner. Its sound is a completely stripped-down, cold approach, an absolute and unrelenting pursuit of darkness.It was performed and engineered by Eriksen himself at Atomen Studios in Halden, Norway, and mastered by Jack Control of Enormous Door (Darkthrone, Mork).
