Kurt Rosenwinkel, a top jazz guitarist recognized by Eric Clapton, continues his creative activities at the forefront of contemporary music.The members of the now-legendary quartet "The Next Step," who performed together at the New York jazz club "Small's" in the 1990s, have miraculously reunited for the "Next Step Band Reunion World Tour"! As part of the tour, live recordings of the band performing at "Smalls" in 1996 have been unearthed and are finally being made available on Kurt's own Heartcore Records label! The session was recorded with his longtime friend and partner, saxophonist Mark Turner, and drummer Jeff Ballard, who is recognized by Ray Charles and Pat Metheny, and is a well-known figure in contemporary jazz. Jazz piano virtuoso Brad Meldor joins in on the track "Zhivago," which is even more powerful than the original recording! This will be a supreme album that you will never forget.
