Rare recordings of the Beaux-Arts Trio as a young trioA rare recording by the original members of the Beaux-Arts Trio, founded in 1955, has just seen the light of day. The trio performed Beethoven's Piano Trio No. 1, Brahms, and Ravel at the 1960 Schwetzingen Music Festival, but no recordings of Beethoven's piano trio have survived. The Beaux Arts Trio became the pinnacle of piano trios, but at the time they were still young, and their performances are full of surprising enthusiasm and romance. King International
