The jazz-rock band was formed in 1970, led by Brian Auger (key), a pianist/organist who is still active in the band to this day. The live performance was recorded at Montreux, Switzerland on October 17, 1970 as part of the "Montreux Super Pop" concert series, and is now available on CD and 180g vinyl. Remastered mono soundtrack based on the original archival tapes. The album features Barry Dean (b), who supported the band from its formation until the mid-70s; Jim Mullen (g), a master UK jazz guitarist who was just starting out at the time; Keith Bailey (drs), also known as a member of WARM DUST/JOY and active in the UK rock/jazz scene during the 70s; and the band's founding member, Barry Dean (b), who was a member of the band from the beginning of the band's history; and the band's first member, Keith Bailey (drs). The album includes "Pavane", "Maiden Voyage", 4 songs from "BEFOUR" released in 1970 under the name of BRIAN AUGER & THE TRINITY, and "The Theatre" from the debut album of OBLIVION EXPRESS, which would be released the following year. The Light", "On The Road", "The Sword", and other 5 songs from OBLIVION EXPRESS' debut album to be released the following year.This is a highly valuable live recording that shows the process of Brian's band from the mod/funk sound of THE TRINITY era to progressive rock/crossover.
