Czerny, Carl (1791-1857)
Description:
Czerny by Jean-Frédéric Neubourget, a promising young French pianist Carl Czerny was a pupil of Beethoven and a teacher of Liszt, who left many of his exercises. The exercises are harsh and demanding, but there are also many interesting pieces if you listen carefully, especially this 50th, an advanced etude published under the title "Technique for Proficiency of the Fingers. Although it is an exercise, it also contains musical content, making this album a must-listen for those who have shied away from Czerny. Pianist Jean-Frédéric Nuebrugge, born in 1986 at the age of 21, began playing the piano at the age of 8 and received his Premier Prix from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in 2003. He has won numerous awards, including first prize at the Ettlingen International Competition, and made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2006 and participated in the Forgeurne in 2005 and 2006.He is one of the most popular pianists in the world today, and is scheduled to visit Japan in the fall of 2007.
