The Casals String Quartet has started a new project for the 30th anniversary of its formation in 1997. The quartet was formed in 1997, and a new project has begun in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of its formation. Shostakovich was publicly attacked by the Soviet regime in the mid-1930s, and this project is a recording of all of his string quartets. From 1938 until the end of his life, Shostakovich worked in this genre, with a total of 15 works.
