He performs and conducts Schumann's immortal cello concerto and orchestral arrangements of songs. Born in 1992, Soltani began playing the cello at the age of four and studied at the Conservatory in Basel at the age of twelve, and later at the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein. He studied at the Basel Conservatory at the age of 12, and later at the Liechtenstein International Music Academy. He was principal cellist of Daniel Barenboim's West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.
