A Flare On The Lens" is a 3CD and Blu-ray live concert featuring the triumphant return to London of the new lineup of BIG BIG TRAIN, one of the UK's leading progressive rock bands formed in 1990. The band just released their 15th album "The Likes Of Us" in March this year, and a live performance by the new lineup will be released in September. The band was in dire straits after losing vocalist David Longdon to an unforeseen accident in 2021. After gaining confidence from their 2022 shows in the U.K. and the Netherlands, the band announced that the following year they would embark on an unprecedented tour entitled "The Journey Continues," which would take them to 9 countries for 17 successful shows. The band changed the setlist each time on this tour, performing a wide range of past material while keeping it fresh for both the audience and the band. The final show of the tour was held at Cadogan Hall in London on September 12 and 13, 2023. The video for "A Boy in Darkness," which was released prior to its release, seems to have a special meaning for the band; Alberto says, "This song is one of the most emotional and difficult to sing and interpret. The way the song develops from a very dark atmosphere to a moving and powerful finale is amazing," says Alberto. Gregory also shares his passion, "This song takes the band and the listener on a historical and musical journey. We had never played this song live until last year, and it is one of the most accomplished songs from David Longdon's time with us and deserves more attention. The reaction of the crowd while we were playing this song reinforced that feeling."
