Grammy-nominated neo-soul singer NAO (Neo Soul) has garnered attention with her third album "And Then Life Was Beautiful" featuring Liane La Havas, Lucky Day, and other artists, as well as guest appearances on Masa Mura's songs. In 2018, her second album "Saturn" was nominated for the 62nd Grammy Awards in the category of "Best Urban Contemporary Album" and the Mercury Prize for "Best Album of the Year". After releasing new songs energetically from last year to this year, she will release her third album "And Then Life Was Beautiful," her first album in three years. This album also features gorgeous up-and-coming artists such as Lucky Day and Serpent With Feet. The album also includes "Woman feat. Rianne La Havas," which was recorded while carrying her daughter in her arms; "Antidote," an Afro-pop song featuring Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold; and "Messy La Lavas," a song with a guitar groove and drum rhythm reminiscent of 90s R&B. The album also includes the preceding single "Messy Love" with its impressive guitar groove and drum rhythm reminiscent of 90's R&B. The new album, produced during the pandemic, is said to be a message of acceptance of life's good and bad aspects, and to offer a helping hand to listeners when they face a wall. The album also marks a new chapter for Neio after the birth of his first child. Neio said the following about the album.Life isn't perfect - there are peaks and valleys, but it can also be beautiful. I think this album is honest and hopeful - it's not sparkly, it's not a 'wow! It's not sparkly, it's not a "wow!" kind of flirtation, it's not a party piece, but it's not a "wow! It's not a "wow!" kind of vibe, it's not a party kind of thing, but it's a message that even when things get tough, even when things get hard, you can get through it. That's life. You just have to keep moving forward. The title track "And Then Life Was Beautiful," which was released earlier this year, is a mellow song that highlights Nayo's signature silky voice. In the performance video released at the same time, Neio sings with a chorus of six women in a church setting. The song is performed a cappella towards the end, and the comfortable harmony between Neio and the chorus is superb.
