Their repertoire includes a wide variety of classical favorites as well as their own original compositions and arrangements of pieces from different genres, and through this unique musical activity the VSQ is exploring the ways in which classical music is expressed and received today, The VSQ is moving forward with its mission to bring together new generations and old-time classical music fans in a comprehensive manner with regard to the way classical music is expressed and received today. Their unique style of playing, in which the entire program is written from memory and all but the cello is played standing up, has been praised for its strong sense of unity with the music and for the vivid impression it leaves.
