New recording by a brilliant pianist! A collection of 180 years of improvisations! An improvisation is a character piece composed in a free form, and the first piece in history to be given this title was Vozicek's Improvisation, which also appears at the beginning of this album. Since then, various composers have freely spread the wings of their imagination under this title. Although this album does not include the famous improvisations by Schubert and Chopin, it contains improvisations from the East and West, all of which are new to me, but are like opening a treasure chest full of masterpieces. Glebov's piano playing is also superb. She is a young pianist from St. Petersburg who just graduated from the Peabody Conservatory in 2002. She has a brilliant tone reminiscent of Alicia De La Rocha, and a grainy touch. She is a young pianist, but there is no doubt that she will be in a major arena in the future. Tobu Land System
