Formed in 1988 by a group of friends in Sacramento, Northern California, the Deftones have since released their debut album "ADRENALINE" in 1995 and have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. Since the release of their debut album, ADRENALINE, in 1995, they have sold over 10 million albums and streamed over 92 million songs worldwide, and have had a major impact on the music scene since the late 1990s. Their style, which has reached the realm of culture, sharply cuts to the heart of the times while coexisting with various elements at opposite extremes, such as unparalleled heaviness and groove, intensity and quietness, ferocity and delicacy, and inorganic and emotional, has earned them the respect of their enthusiastic fans as a singularity in the scene. They will release their first new album in five years. This is their 10th studio album "PRIVATE MUSIC". This new chapter in their career was recorded in Malibu, Joshua Tree, and other parts of California, as well as in Nashville, Tennessee.The band and Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz will produce the album. Raskulinecz also produced "DIAMOND EYES" in 2010 and "KOI NO YOKAN" in 2012. Since their debut, Deftones has been constantly exploring the infinite creativity within their own musical universe.
