Placido Domingo dominated the world as one of the "Three Great Tenors." He has further matured since his switch to baritone, and his challenge this time is Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi". The exquisite direction of this stage production is by Woody Allen, a famous director and actor. This is a revival of his highly acclaimed 2008 production at the Los Angeles Opera House, and the slightly nostalgic and ostentatious movements are quite humorous, as if his "classic Italian mafia movie" were transferred directly to the stage. Domingo, of course, plays the role of a mafia boss, but at the same time, he also plays the role of a "typical father" who is very sweet to his daughter Lauretta, and a "cunning" man who plays with his bossy relatives. The humor overflowing from the calmly colored screen makes it impossible to take one's eyes off the action for even a moment. Sony Music
