Description:
Frank Sinatra Centennial: A 4-Disc Box Set Packed with Unreleased Radio/TV Recordings from Sinatra's Early Years Frank Sinatra celebrates his 100th birthday in December 2015. This release compiles his legendary radio/TV performances from 1935 to 1955—the period between his 20th and 40th years, just before he became a global superstar—across four CDs. It shines a spotlight on Sinatra's younger years, a time when many recordings remained unreleased as singles or albums, featuring numerous previously unheard tracks. Key highlights include his very first radio performance, recorded in 1935. It also features numerous masterful renditions of standard classics by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, and others – performances that were broadcast live but never captured in studio recordings. You can enjoy early arrangements of songs that later became Sinatra's signature repertoire, such as "The Way You Look Tonight," "I Get A Kick Out Of You," "It Had To Be You," and "Embraceable You." It also includes duets with Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, and others. This box set is packed with historically valuable and precious recordings.
