While September 2013's "Rewind the Film" was an all-acoustic album, "Futurology" is a completely electric album.As the title suggests, "Rewind" is a sentimental work that looks back on the "past" on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his debut, using memories of his own life, nostalgic childhood days, the past and present of his hometown in Wales, and his favorite city in a foreign country, Tokyo, as subjects. At the same time, it is a sentimental work that reveals the false feelings of a "man in his 40s," but in this album, they have completely shifted their focus to the "future.The sound is also lined with songs that create a revved-up, spicy atmosphere with effective use of synthesizers. James says, "This one is more spiky and loud. There may be some Krautrock influence. It's not like 'Holy Bible,' but it's a little bit similar in terms of intent and intimidation. Lyrically, there's a kind of longing for Europe.The European landscape, the disease of Europe, you know, the disease that we Brits have that we just can't help but be a part of."
