Description:
The only album released from Bacillus under the Bellaphone label in Germany in 1971. Analog reissue! The band is also highly acclaimed for their heavy psychedelic music,The album opens with "Dirty Yellow Mist," a 13+ minute trance-filled heavy psychedelic/progressive instrumental with a circular guitar riff reminiscent of DEEP PURPLE's "Child In Time" and swirling echoes/vocalizations that seem to drift through the fog. Except for "Dirty Yellow Mist," the rest of the album is blues hard rock that makes full use of heavy organs and guitars.The biting and aggressive vocals, loose but sharp guitar riffs/solos and vertical rhythm make for a unique sound that is different from the British/U.S. sound, and the variety of ups and downs in the music makes for a great listen, despite its underground flavor!
